About PRE-EMPT

The Prospective RandomizEd  Evaluation and Management of Premature aTherosclerosis (PRE-EMPT) Study is a clinical study sponsored by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).  The objective of the study is to optimize the identification of adults who have coronary atherosclerosis despite low short-term cardiovascular (CV) risk, and to test the effect of lipid-lowering and anti-inflammatory interventions on atherosclerosis compared with placebo, on the background of a mobile health lifestyle intervention.
